Jess wins German Design Award 2020 with Shuffle
The German Design Awards represent one of the most prestigious competitions in the world and enjoy an excellent reputation that extends beyond a small world of experts. Winners of any one of the awards are deemed to have proven themselves to be among the best in their sector. Jess is now part of this select group. This leading Dutch company was won an award in the ‘Excellent Product Design – Furniture’ category for its Shuffle product.
Jess launched the Shuffle range at a number of European fairs two years ago. Maarten van de Goor, Director at Jess Design: “While the Shuffle has its own striking look, it fits in perfectly with other existing and continuous collections. It was designed by Robert Bronwasser and provided our collection with a new, invigorating twist.”
The range consists of sofas, a chair, and a chaise longue. And in early 2020, a Shuffle dining chair will be introduced. The design was inspired by the pure materials Jess is famous for and which have a nonchalant and rugged vibe. “Robert Bronwasser then added his own signature elements to these materials: friendly, rounded corners, clean lines, and a functional twist. The key to this collection is that you can sit on a piece of furniture in two different ways. This dual functionality aspect is something that has never been seen before. The items of furniture can either be used separately or in combination with each other. This makes them great for domestic use but also perfect for hotel lobbies, restaurants and reception areas. This playfulness is a very distinctive aspect of the design.”
Jess will once again be present at all of the major exhibitions in Europe in 2020, including imm Cologne in January, Stockholm in February, Milan in April, and Paris and London in September. ” At each of the exhibitions, we will be presenting Shuffle, the German Design Award winner, alongside our new collection. And, who knows, we may soon be able to say that Shuffle has won the Iconic Award for innovative interior solutions too.”
